Description

Su Gorroppu is an imposing canyon located in the Supramonte, in the very heart of Sardinia, and is considered one of the deepest canyons in Europe. Located in the territories of Orgosolo and Urzulei, it was formed over time by the erosive action of the Rio Flumineddu. The side walls can reach as much as 500 meters in height, and the distance between them can vary from a few dozen meters down to just 4 meters. From the point of view of flora, it features important endemisms, including the famous Nuragic aquilegia.

How to get

There are several routes to reach it, including access from Urzulei near Genna Silana, along the SS125 exit at km 183.

Esperienza bellissima! Dal punto ritrovo *** jeep si va al sentiero *** cammino di 1 ora. Quando arrivi ed entri nella gola rimani a bocca aperta dalla bellezza!

Gorge bellissime, ne vale sicuramente la pena visitarle! Sentiero facile da affrontare però *** calzature adatte, meglio scarpe da trekking.
