Description

Perda Liana (or Perda 'e Liana) is a natural monument located in a protected natural area and is also visible from great distances. For this reason, especially in the past, it was considered a reference point for the whole historical sub-region of Ogliastra. The calcareous block (technically called Tacco, heel in English) is one of the highest in the area and dates back to the Jurassic period. Marine fossils distributed around it testify to its ancient history.

Ein bisschen „Monument Valley“, mitten im Nirgendwo. Schon die Anfahrt ist interessant, speziell wenn man die 16 km vom Passo Sarcerei zwischen Gairo und der SS 389 nimmt. Schöner Parkplatz. Leichter, gut markierter Fußweg hinauf zum Schuttkegel und ein mal rund um den Felsen herum. Tolle Aussicht.
